Pathways That Break Barriers

Pathway to Potential serves youth and young adults aged 14-24 in communities across King County, with a particular focus on Seattle and Renton—areas where families have youth experiencing significant barriers to education, employment, and personal stability. Our proactive initiatives work to remove barriers for underserved youth in traditional and alternative education, including those at risk of not graduating.

Pathway to Connection, Mentorship and Growth

We work towards breaking the school-to-prison pipeline by addressing the root causes of absenteeism and school disengagement. We focus on removing barriers within the household, so that youth can stay in school, graduate, and build successful futures.

Through dynamic mentorship, advocacy, and family-centered support, we ensure that young people not only have access to resources but also develop the confidence and opportunities to reach their full potential.

These youth already have everything they need within them—our mission is to help them see it and work to remove the obstacles standing in their way.

How do we do that?

Dynamic Mentorship

We provide dynamic mentorship to guide youth in overcoming personal and academic challenges. By meeting youth where they are and doing life with them, we help them navigate school, set goals, and develop the confidence to pursue their potential.

Leadership Development

We empower youth to become leaders in their own lives and communities. By fostering critical thinking, decision-making, and self-advocacy, we equip them with the skills to break cycles of disengagement and build a future of success.

Family & Resource Advocacy

We work directly with families, schools, and community organizations to remove household barriers that contribute to school disengagement. Whether it’s connecting families to essential services, advocating in school meetings, or stabilizing home environments, we ensure that youth have the support they need to

What's Our Why?

Decreasing Absenteeism to Increase Graduation Rates

Pathway to Potential was born from lived experience. Our Founder, Christi Lagasse, was a mother navigating a system that failed to be proactive or be a consistent support for her and her son. Christi spent over a decade

fighting for resources, stability, and someone—anyone—to show up consistently. She soon realized: if the system wasn’t built for our youth and their families, she needed to build something that was.

Pathway to Potential exists so no youth—or family—has to walk that road alone. We work to remove barriers, create opportunities, and walk alongside young people as they discover the power and potential they’ve had all along.

Pathway to Potential delivers tailored, proactive initiatives that connect young people with critical resources and opportunities, ensuring that every youth is supported to achieve their full potential and fostering lasting change within our community.
