Pathways That Break Barriers
Pathway to Potential serves youth and young adults aged 14-24 in communities across King County, areas where families have youth experiencing significant barriers to education, employment, and personal stability. Our proactive initiatives work to remove barriers for underserved youth in traditional and alternative education, including those at risk of not graduating.
Pathway to Connection, Mentorship and Growth
We work towards solving for the barriers that are the root causes of absenteeism and school disengagement. We focus on removing those barriers within the household, so that youth can stay in school, graduate, and build successful futures.
Through dynamic mentorship, advocacy, and family-centered support, we ensure that young people not only have access to resources but also develop the confidence and opportunities to reach their full potential.
These youth already have everything they need within them! Itis our mission is to help them see it and work to remove the obstacles standing in their way.
How do we do that?
Dynamic Mentorship
We provide dynamic mentorship to guide youth in overcoming personal and academic challenges. By meeting youth where they are and doing life with them, we help them navigate school, set goals, and develop the confidence to pursue their potential.
Leadership Development
We empower youth to become leaders in their own lives and communities. By fostering critical thinking, decision-making, and self-advocacy, we equip them with the skills to break cycles of disengagement and build a future of success.
Family & Resource Advocacy
We work directly with families, schools, and community organizations to remove household barriers that contribute to school disengagement. Whether it’s connecting families to essential services, advocating in school meetings, or stabilizing home environments, we ensure that youth have the support they need to
What's Our Why?
Doing life with youth to be a positive voice in their world.
Pathway to Potential was born from lived experience and unimaginable loss. Our founder, Christi Lagasse, is a mother who spent over a decade navigating a system that repeatedly failed to support her son, Craig.
Despite her relentless advocacy for resources, stability, and someone to simply show up, the system remained reactive, inconsistent, and ultimately, it failed in the most devastating way. Craig’s passing wasn’t just a personal tragedy, it was the consequence of a system that was never built to protect or uplift youth like him.
Pathway to Potential exists because of Craig, and for every young person who deserves better.
We are here so no youth or family has to walk that road alone. We work to remove barriers, build real opportunities, and walk alongside young people as they uncover the strength, power, and potential that has always been within them.
This isn’t just a mission. It’s a promise. A promise to show up for Craig, and for every child who still can be reached.
Pathway to Potential delivers tailored, proactive initiatives that connect young people with critical resources and opportunities, ensuring that every youth is supported to achieve their full potential and fostering lasting change within our community.
